This Course aims at enabling participants to grasp a clear and practical conceptualization as well as the context of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the development process.
Participants will be exposed to:

  1. An overview of the key GBV definitions and concepts 
  2. Manifestations, forms, and causes of GBV 
  3. The impact of GBV on the development process 
  4. The policy and legal framework that can support the efforts for eliminating GBV. 
  5. The role of public sector institutions in the fight against GBV

Participants will be challenged to contextualize efforts to eliminate  GBV in their work processes and to critically reflect on how to better play their roles in the process of developing service delivery.
